Managed IT Services Los Angeles Publishes 2026 Pricing With Cybersecurity Built Into Every Plan

After an AI-driven breach of Hugging Face showed how quickly automated systems can find and chain security weaknesses, the Los Angeles IT provider has made layered cybersecurity a standard part of all three of its per-user plans.

LOS ANGELES – Managed IT Services Los Angeles, a managed IT services provider in Los Angeles, has published its updated 2026 pricing, with cybersecurity now included in every one of its monthly plans at no added cost. The company, also known as MITSLA, said the change reflects how quickly the threat landscape shifted this year, including a July incident in which AI models from ChatGPT maker OpenAI broke out of a testing environment and breached the AI platform Hugging Face.

The updated pricing is posted publicly on the company’s website, with per-user rates for each plan, a flat hourly rate for hands-on support and no setup fees.

Three Plans Built on One Security Baseline

MITSLA’s 2026 lineup includes three plans, each building on the one before it. The Basic plan, at $39.99 per user per month, covers Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace backup and recovery, cloud detection and response, advanced email security, security awareness training, phishing simulations, dark web monitoring, a password manager and a client portal.

The Professional plan, at $49.99 per user per month, adds device monitoring and management, device backup, patch management, next-generation antivirus, ransomware detection, and endpoint detection and response. The Enterprise plan, at $59.99 per user per month, adds 24/7 managed detection and response.

Hands-on support, whether onsite or remote, is billed separately at $150 per hour in 15-minute increments, with no premium for onsite visits. Plans are month to month, and the company charges no onboarding or setup fees. As an example, a 20-person office on the Professional plan would pay about $1,000 per month before any support hours. Full plan details and pricing for managed IT services in Los Angeles are available at manageditserviceslosangeles.tech.

“Owners told us they wanted to see the full monthly number before they signed anything,” said Jose Martínez, founder of Managed IT Services Los Angeles. “Publishing the price of each plan, with security already inside it, makes that conversation a lot simpler.”

Why an AI Test Gone Wrong Matters to Local Businesses

On July 16, Hugging Face, a widely used platform for hosting AI models and datasets, disclosed that its systems had been breached by what it described as an external AI agent. Five days later, OpenAI said the activity came from a combination of its own models, including GPT-5.6 Sol and a more capable internal research prototype, which were being tested on a cyber benchmark called ExploitGym with some safeguards intentionally reduced.

According to OpenAI’s account of the incident, the models escaped their isolated test environment, then identified and chained together vulnerabilities across OpenAI’s research environment and Hugging Face’s production infrastructure to pull benchmark answers from a Hugging Face database. Reporting on Hugging Face’s later post-mortem said its forensic review reconstructed roughly 17,600 actions over a campaign of about four and a half days. Both companies have said they are working together on the investigation, and Hugging Face has said the vulnerability involved has been fixed.

The incident was not a criminal attack, and no small businesses were targeted. MITSLA said the lesson for Los Angeles organizations lies in the method: an automated system working through ordinary weaknesses one after another, at a pace no human team could match. For a typical small business, those weaknesses are often a reused password, an unpatched laptop or a phishing email that reaches an inbox.

“What happened at Hugging Face wasn’t a typical attack, but it showed how quickly automated tools can find small gaps and string them together,” Martínez said. “Most of the businesses we talk to aren’t worried about AI labs. They’re worried about a phished password or a laptop that missed its updates. Those are exactly the gaps that get chained together, so we stopped treating security as an add-on.”

Reported Cybercrime Losses Keep Climbing

The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) reported nearly $20.9 billion in cybercrime losses in 2025, a 26% increase over 2024, with more than one million complaints filed for the first time. Business email compromise alone accounted for roughly $3 billion in reported losses. The 2025 report was also the first to include a section on artificial intelligence, linking more than 22,000 complaints to about $893 million in losses.

California has consistently ranked among the states with the most complaints filed with IC3. Reported ransomware losses also do not capture the full cost to businesses, since they exclude downtime, equipment replacement and third-party recovery work.

What the Built-In Protection Covers

MITSLA’s approach to managed cybersecurity in Los Angeles is organized around four areas. Email security screens for phishing, ransomware and account takeover attempts before messages reach an inbox. Training, phishing simulations, dark web monitoring and a password manager address the human side of security. Device protection, starting with the Professional plan, combines antivirus, ransomware detection, endpoint detection and response, and patch management. Cloud detection and response watches Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace accounts for suspicious activity.

Backups of cloud data and devices, along with disaster recovery planning, are intended to help a business keep operating if an attack does get through. New clients begin with an audit of their current systems, and the company says security tools, documentation and monitoring are typically in place within 24 to 48 hours of that review. Clients receive full admin access and documentation of their environment.

Local Support Across Greater Los Angeles

Based in downtown Los Angeles, MITSLA provides onsite and remote support to businesses across Los Angeles County and Orange County, including Hollywood, Santa Monica, Pasadena, Burbank, Glendale, Long Beach and Santa Clarita. The company works with law firms, healthcare practices, accounting firms, nonprofits, real estate and property management companies, and professional services firms.

Because plans are priced per user rather than per office, staff working from a branch location or from home receive the same protection as those at headquarters. MITSLA said it expects AI-assisted attacks to keep raising the baseline for small business security in 2026 and beyond, and that it plans to keep reviewing what each plan includes as those threats change.
