Community-centered Fine Art Fair Returns to Reno September 17–20 Following Successful Expansion into Salt Lake City Market
RENO, NV, UNITED STATES, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Reno Tahoe International Art Show (RTIA Show) returns to Hall 4 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center from September 17–20, 2026. The milestone event marks the fifth edition of the celebrated fine art fair and highlights its continued evolution as the founding flagship event of Peaks Art Fairs.
Since its debut in 2022, the RTIA Show has established a distinctive model combining world-class artistic presentation with deep community engagement. Designed to celebrate the artists, diverse cultures, and creative organizations of Northern Nevada while welcoming national and international exhibitors, RTIA has grown into one of the West’s most unique art fair experiences.
Following the successful debut of the Salt Lake Art Show in May 2026, the Reno event serves as the founding anchor of the expanding Peaks Art Fairs platform—a model rooted in the belief that impactful cultural events begin with the communities that inspire them.

A Dynamic Platform for Regional and Global Talent
Created with a vision to position the Reno Tahoe region as a nationally recognized center for art and culture, the RTIA Show highlights local creative talent alongside national and international exhibitors. The 2026 showcase brings together a dynamic presentation of independent artists, fine art galleries, design studios, furniture designers, cultural organizations, and higher education institutions.
2026 Fair Highlights Include:
First Nations Indigenous Peoples Showcase: Serving as a central pillar of the fair’s programming, this showcase celebrates both traditional art forms and contemporary voices of Indigenous creators across the Great Basin and beyond.
Wearable Art & Fashion: An expanded feature showcasing Indigenous fashion designers alongside artists working at the intersection of contemporary fashion, wearable art, and creative textiles.
Design, Sculpture & Post Playa Art: Alongside presentations of bespoke furniture and functional art, RTIA features one of the nation’s largest indoor sculpture displays. Returning this year is the popular Post Playa Art feature, showcasing monumental installations created for Burning Man, held just weeks prior in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.
Basque Cultural Feature: A curated feature spotlighting the enduring cultural ties between Northern Nevada and the Basque community, highlighting artists whose work reflects this rich heritage and its contemporary influence.
Institutional Partners: Continuing its mission of regional collaboration, returning institutions include the University of Nevada, Reno; Truckee Meadows Community College; St. Mary’s Art Center; and the Latimer Art Club.
Expanding Footprint Across the Mountain West
What began as a regional effort to elevate Northern Nevada’s creative ecosystem has evolved into a broader platform for artistic exchange across the Mountain West. The success of the RTIA model laid the groundwork for the launch of the Salt Lake Art Show and continues to guide new initiatives under the Peaks Art Fairs umbrella—including a recently announced strategic partnership with X5, a global convergence platform whose flagship event debuts in Salt Lake City in September 2027.

The RTIA Show kicks off with a VIP Preview event on Thursday, September 17, 2026, and is open to the public through Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
