Misha Ezratti Named 2026 South Florida Business Journal Power Leader in Real Estate, Marking Multiple Consecutive Years of Recognition

Misha Ezratti has been named a 2026 South Florida Business Journal Power Leader in Real Estate, recognizing influential figures in real estate ownership, development, and sales across the tri-county region. The recognition highlights executives shaping South Florida’s development landscape and contributing to regional economic activity.

The South Florida Business Journal selection is based on criteria including land deal volume, participation in new development initiatives, and overall involvement in real estate activity that contributes to regional growth. The program highlights leaders whose work influences how communities and development patterns evolve across South Florida.

Misha Ezratti’s inclusion reflects his role leading GL Homes, Florida’s largest private homebuilder, where his work focuses on long-term residential development and community planning across both coasts of the state.

In previous remarks, Misha Ezratti emphasized that leadership is rooted in people, mentorship, and shared values across the organization.

“Success really comes down to our people and the way we work together,” he said. “We have been fortunate to bring in great talent across different areas, and part of the focus has been helping people grow beyond their original roles so they can contribute in different ways.”

He added that the long-term focus is on continuity and responsibility across generations within the company. “A big part of my role is making sure the next generation understands where we came from and the values that built this company, so we can carry that forward in the right way.”

The recognition continues a long track record of industry honors for Misha Ezratti, including South Florida Business Journal Power Leader in Real Estate recognitions in 2018, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.

He was also named a South Florida Business Journal Ultimate CEO in 2024 and was included in Florida Trend’s Florida 500 for five consecutive years through 2023, recognizing influential business leaders shaping the state’s future.

The continued recognition reflects the long-term development approach behind GL Homes, where planning discipline, land strategy, and consistency across communities remain central to how projects are designed and delivered.

Rather than focusing solely on residential construction, the company’s approach emphasizes coordinated community planning that integrates infrastructure, amenities, and long-term livability into the development process.

Across Florida, this has included master-planned communities designed around shared spaces, connectivity, and access to services intended to support residents well beyond the initial home purchase.

That strategy has also expanded into adjacent retail and mixed-use planning. In a September 2025 interview with Commercial Observer, company leadership discussed the importance of integrating residential communities with nearby retail, dining, and everyday services to create more connected living environments and reduce dependence on disconnected suburban layouts.

The recognition of Misha Ezratti as a Power Leader reflects this broader planning philosophy, where development is measured not only by what is built, but by how communities function and evolve over time.

The recognition also reflects a broader emphasis on community involvement that has shaped Ezratti’s leadership approach. Through GL Homes Philanthropy, the organization has supported nonprofit partners across Florida focused on food access, environmental conservation, youth programs, and housing assistance.

Recent efforts have included support for the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida’s conservation and outdoor education programs, as well as a contribution to Feeding South Florida’s Choice Pantry in Boynton Beach during a period of reduced seasonal donations.

Before Misha Ezratti assumed leadership, GL Homes had already been established in 1976 by Itchko Ezratti as a Florida-based homebuilder focused on large-scale residential communities across the state.

Over five decades, the company has expanded across both Florida coasts, with more than 100,000 families now living in GL Homes communities. It has also been consistently ranked among the nation’s top private homebuilders by Builder Magazine, reflecting the scale of communities it has helped shape over time.
